Easiest Universities with Visiting Students Allowed?

Hey, y'all! So here's my deal. I'm currently a high school junior planning for the future and I'm drawn to the idea of being a visiting student at a university for a while. You know, to get an even broader perspective on things. But I'm also pretty realistic about my academic strengths and all. So which universities are known to be somewhat easier to get into and also allow visiting students? Any info will be a life-saver. Thanks!

Hello! It's great that you're considering broadening your perspective through being a visiting student in a university. Many universities, both large and small, offer visiting or non-degree programs that can provide you with the experience you're seeking.

A couple of universities that might fit your criteria include the University of Arizona and Michigan State University. The University of Arizona has a Non-Degree Seeking Students program that allows you to take undergraduate courses without pursuing a degree. Admission criteria for this program are less demanding than for a degree-seeking student.

Similarly, Michigan State University offers a Lifelong Education status, aimed at individuals who want to take courses but are not seeking an MSU degree. Acceptance into this program generally does not require previous academic records or test scores.

Remember, however, that being a visiting student may limit your ability to register for certain classes that might have enrollment restrictions. It's also important to note that credits earned as a visiting student may or may not transfer if you later decide to pursue a degree. Be sure to thoroughly understand these factors before making your decision.

Good luck with your endeavors!
