Easiest universities for a Biology major?

Hey y'all! I'm planning to pursue a Biology major and I'm currently working on my college list. I heard there are easier universities to get into for this major and I'm totally open to that. I'm trying to keep my options wide, so any recommendations for those kinds of universities would be awesome.

Certainly, it's great to keep your options open while creating your college list. Remember though that an "easy" university doesn't necessarily mean that it's the right fit for you or that the quality of education is any lesser. Here are some universities known for having strong biology programs with acceptance rates that are more forgiving than those of top-tier colleges.

1. University of Portland: This private Catholic school has robust STEM offerings, including a strong biology program. Their acceptance rate hovers around 62-75%.

2. Creighton University: Located in Omaha, Nebraska, this university has an established Health Sciences/Biology program with a high-quality pre-med track if you're interested. Acceptance rates range around 71%.

3. University of Dayton: This Ohio-based university has a strong biology program with acceptance rates around 72%.

4. Fordham University: Known for its strong pre-med and biology programs, Fordham is a private university located in New York City. Its acceptance rate tends to hover around 45-50%.

5. University of Vermont: The biology program at UVM benefits from the university's strong STEM focus and the natural environmental research opportunities provided by Vermont's landscape. The acceptance rate is approximately 67%.

Note that acceptance rates fluctuate annually and might have changed somewhat since I've compiled this information. Also, the strength of biology departments can vary based on different factors such as faculty, research opportunities, and resources, so it may be beneficial to do more specific research into each of these institutions.

At the end of the day, it's important you feel comfortable and excited about your school of choice, so do visit their websites, explore their programs, and connect with current students or alumni if you can. Remember, college is not just about ease of entry, but also about what you make of your experience there.
