What's the easiest history class to take in college?

Hey guys, I'm not the best at history so I'm kinda worried about college requirements. Does anyone know what's generally considered the easiest history class to take in college, just to fulfill the requirement but without wiping out my GPA?

I understand your anxiety over picking a history course, especially if it's not your strongest suit. Remember, what's "easy" can vary significantly from person to person depending on their interests, strengths, and the professors who teach the courses. However, "survey" courses are typically seen as a good starting point. These are often offered as introductions to a broad historical period or geographical area. For instance, you might take a class like "US History Since 1865" or "Introduction to World History." The material in these courses generally isn't as in-depth or focused as that in higher-level history classes.

It's also worth noting that classes on familiar topics tend to feel easier. If there's a period or place in history that you already know something about and find interesting, you'll likely find the class easier and more engaging than one on an entirely new topic.

Lastly, take the time to research your professors and the structure of the course. If you can, find out the expectations of the course: are there heavy reading assignments? Are you comfortable with writing essays or do you prefer multiple choice exams? All these small details can help you choose a course that suits your skills and learning preferences.

Remember, it's about finding the balance between "easy" and interesting: a course could be easy, but boring, and you might not be as motivated to do well in it. Good luck!
