Deciding on a science class in college - any easy ones?

Hi folks, I am currently choosing my schedule for next semester and I am required to take a science class. Any suggestions on which ones are manageable for someone not particularly strong in science? Thanks!

Sure, I can offer some suggestions!

Depending on your college's curriculum, "Intro to Environmental Science" classes are usually more digestible for students who do not have much of a science background. These classes often explore topics like global warming, natural resources, and sustainability, making the content more relatable and, for many, more interesting.

"Concepts of Biology" or "General Biology" for non-majors could also be good choices. You won't delve as deeply into complex concepts as you would in a course for biology majors. Instead, it provides a broad overview of biological principles.

"Physical Science" is another course that's often taken by students needing a lighter-science credit. It typically covers basic principles in both physics and chemistry and avoids in-depth computations.

Lastly, your college may offer classes like "Astronomy" or "Geology" which can be less intensive and quite interesting.

Don't forget to consider classes with interesting lab components. Labs can be engaging, and they also typically count towards a significant portion of your grade.

Keep in mind that if your college uses Rate My Professors or a similar tool, it can be quite helpful in determining which specific classes or professors might be a good fit for you.

Remember, "easy" is subjective, and it largely depends on your interest in the subject and your willingness to apply yourself. And always feel free to reach out to an advisor or professor to get more guidance, based on your specific strengths and academic goals. Best of luck with your scheduling!
