What are the easiest college classes to take?

Ok, so I'm looking into potential elective classes for my first year of college. Does anyone have any suggestions for what has been an 'easy-breezy' class you took that was less rigorous but still worthwhile? Appreciate all the help!

The definition of an "easy" or less rigorous class can vary greatly from person to person depending on individual interests, strengths, and previous experience. However, there are some general classes that many colleges offer which are often thought of as less intense.

1. Intro to Art classes: Many universities will offer specific intro classes in things like painting, ceramics, or photography which can provide a creative outlet and a fun, relaxing break from heavier coursework.

2. Physical Education classes: These can range from yoga, to martial arts, to team sports, and are a great way to pop in some physical activity into your academic day. Plus, they usually have no heavy reading or writing assignments associated with them.

3. Language or Culture classes: If you are already somewhat familiar with a foreign language or a particular culture, taking an introductory course in that subject could be quite effortless, not to mention interesting.

4. Personal Financial Management: This is a course usually offered at many colleges that teaches students how to manage their personal finances. This course is not typically rigorous, but the practical knowledge you gain can be tremendous.

5. Film Studies or Music Appreciation: These classes also tend to be on the easier side, with a focus on analysis and appreciation rather than intense academic study.

6. Introductory Psychology or Sociology: While still academic, these introductory classes often do not require heavy reading or high-level logic like some STEM courses might. Plus, learning about human behavior is often considered quite engaging and intriguing, which may make these classes feel less like work.

Again, what might be an 'easy' or less rigorous class is highly subjective, depending on your personal strengths and interests. It's also relevant to talk to your academic advisor and check out course syllabi when you can to understanding what workload to expect.
