Queens College - Easiest Courses?

Hey guys, I've just been admitted to Queens College and got my class signup date coming up soon. Could anyone share their thoughts on what they found to be the easiest courses at QC? Not lookin' for a free ride, just want to make sure I can maintain some balance in my first year. Thanks!

Hello! First, congratulations on your admission to Queens College! That's quite an accomplishment. As for your question, I understand where you're coming from. It's important, especially during your first year of college, to maintain balance and manage your workload effectively.

While what might qualify as "easiest" can vary depending on your personal strengths and study habits, many students have found introductory-level elective courses or General Education (GenEd) courses to be more manageable in their first year. The purpose of these classes is to expose you to different subjects and give you a broad understanding of different areas of study. For example, courses like "ANTH 101: Introduction to Anthropology" or "PSYCH 101: Introduction to Psychology" offer insightful content without being overly complex, offering students an engaging yet manageable academic experience.

Courses in arts and physical education also tend to be less demanding but again, this largely depends on your personal interests and aptitudes. A course in photography or intro to acting might be quite enjoyable and stress-free if you have an interest in arts.

That being said, it's also a good idea to speak with your academic counselor or upperclassmen at Queens College for their insight. They may have specific course recommendations or professors to look out for and could give you direction based on your intended major.

While the goal is to find manageable courses, remember that the main focus should remain on challenging yourself and growing academically. It's a delicate balance, but very achievable with some planning. Best of luck with your course selections!
