Enlisting in the Military - Can I still pursue easy online college classes?

I'm seriously considering enlisting after graduating, but I also don't want to give up on education entirely. Anybody know if there are 'easy' online college classes that I could take while serving? Looking especially for institutions with good military support.

Definitely, you can continue your education while serving in the military. Many institutions offer flexible online programs catering specifically to active-duty military personnel. These online courses are designed keeping in mind the unique demands and constraints of a military career. For instance, institutions may offer asynchronous class schedules, which will allow you to complete coursework whenever it's most convenient for you.

One institution to consider is American Military University (AMU). AMU is known for being military-friendly and houses a large portion of students who are service members. They offer a wide range of online degrees and certificates with flexibility in mind.

Another school is the University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC), which has a long history of serving military students. They offer online classes, rolling admissions, and even in-person classes on military bases around the world for those who prefer face-to-face instruction.

Additionally, some military branches have tuition assistance programs, which help cover the costs of education during your service. For instance, the Navy's Tuition Assistance Program can provide up to $250 per credit hour for both undergraduate and graduate studies. It's worth checking out what kind of educational benefits you might be eligible for within the branch you're enlisting in.

Keep in mind that not all online classes will be 'easy'; many are designed to be just as rigorous as traditional in-person classes. But with the flexibility in timing and location they offer, you might find them easier to fit into your military schedule. So, start by researching, and choose a program that aligns with your career goals and available time.
