Hunting for Easiest Scholarships

Hello fellow students! I'm beginning my hunt for scholarships and was wondering if anybody knows which ones are the easiest to get? Like, which ones require the least amount of prerequisites or have less competition maybe?

While "easiest" is a relative term when it comes to scholarships, I understand that you're looking for scholarships with fewer requirements or where the competition might not be as stiff.

1) Local Scholarships: Local scholarships often have fewer applicants than national scholarships, making them relatively easier to secure. These could be sponsored by local businesses, community groups, or clubs, so do not overlook them.

2) Scholarships from your future college: Many colleges offer scholarships specifically for their students. These opportunities might be less competitive because they are only open to students attending that institution.

3) No-Essay Scholarships: There are scholarships out there that don't require an essay or a project, which can streamline the application process for you. However, be aware that these might draw a larger number of applicants due to the ease of application.

One example of a no-essay scholarship is the $2,000 No Essay Scholarship by Niche, which is awarded to one randomly selected entrant each month. Another is the $1,000 Cappex Easy College Money Scholarship, which is drawn each month from all registered users on their site.

4) Scholarships with specific criteria: While these sound more daunting, sometimes the more specific the criteria, the fewer applicants there will be. For instance, if you're left-handed, you could apply for the Frederick and Mary F Buckley Scholarship from Juniata College, which is earmarked for left-handed students.

Remember, while it's helpful to apply for 'easier' scholarships, don't limit yourself to these opportunities. Balance your scholarship applications between those with broader and narrower fields, higher and lower award amounts, and more and less demanding application requirements. And don't forget to start your scholarship search early!
