Anyone know the most difficult university programs in Ontario?

Yo! I'm seriously considering applying to universities in Ontario, Canada after high school. Can anyone clue me in on which programs there are especially tough to get accepted into?

Sure thing, happy to help guide you on this. Degrees in medical, engineering, and business fields are usually among the most competitive in Ontario universities, with extremely high admission standards.

1. Among the most challenging is the Honors Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences at McMaster University. This program is known for its unique approach to learning and small cohort size, making it highly competitive.

2. The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Toronto is another program with high application volumes and rigorous admissions criteria. The program is ranked among the best in the world, and admission typically requires high grades and a strong background in maths.

3. If you're interested in Engineering, the Engineering Science program at the University of Toronto is renowned as one of the most rigorous. It's a unique program that offers a foundation in fundamental sciences and engineering, and students specialize in their third year of studies.

4. For Business fields, the Queen's University Smith School of Business and the Ivey Business School HBA at Western University are two of the most challenging to get into due to both their competitive entry points and case-based learning approach.

Remember though that while it's essential to know and prepare for these aspects, it's equally important that the program aligns with your interests and career goals. Long-term success and happiness in a program come from genuine interest and passion in the subject! Also, ensure that you meet their specific application requirements, as each program may have individual prerequisite courses or supplemental applications.

Lastly, consider broadening your search as well! There are many quality programs throughout Ontario that may be slightly less competitive but still deliver a solid education and job prospects.
