Which subjects are the hardest in college?

Hey all, I am a high school junior trying to plan out potential majors. I've come across varying opinions when it comes to the hardest subject in college. What are your thoughts?

The term "hardest" is pretty subjective, as what might be difficult for someone could be a breeze for another, and it largely depends on one's skill sets and interests. That being said, some subjects are oftentimes stated as especially challenging due to the complex concepts and heavy workload.

One is Engineering. Many students find Engineering challenging particularly because it's highly critical-thinking and problem-solving oriented, involves a lot of complex mathematical formulas and concepts. Different tracks in Engineering, like Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical, might vary in their specific challenges, but they generally demand a good grasp of math and science.

Pre-med and Biology disciplines can also be really challenging. Pre-med pathways often involve difficult classes such as Organic Chemistry, Anatomy, and Physiology. Additionally, the intense competition amongst pre-med students to achieve high GPAs for medical school applications can also add to the pressure.

Physics and Mathematics are other challenging fields. These subjects call for abstract thinking and complex problem-solving skills, and a strong focus on postulate-proving can make these subjects particularly demanding.

Computer Science is another major that students often find difficult. It requires a lot of logic, mathematics, and problem-solving. There's also a lot of learning languages and algorithms which could be complex forms of information to decipher.

Remember, the term "hard" or "difficult" can be deceiving - what's most important is finding a subject that you're genuinely interested in and are willing to work hard at, regardless of its perceived difficulty. Leveraging your strengths and passion for a field often overrides the complexities associated with it.
