Currently stressing out since I just got my SAT scores back and I'm not sure if they're good enough. I’ve heard of score choice, but are there still colleges that require you to send all your SAT scores even if you’ve taken the test multiple times? How common is this practice, and where can I find a list of such colleges?
I can certainly understand the stress around SAT scores, having gone through the process with my own child not too long ago. From what we experienced and the research we did, many colleges have adopted a 'Score Choice' policy which allows you to send only the scores you feel best represent your abilities. However, there are some institutions that still require all scores to be sent. The number of these schools has been decreasing, though. To find out which schools require all SAT scores, it's best to check directly on each college's admissions website under their standardized testing policies. Remember, even if you have to send multiple scores, many colleges super-score, meaning they consider the highest scores from each section across different test dates. So in case your SAT scores vary across multiple attempts, that policy would work to your advantage. Stay positive and focus on the big picture of your entire application!
