Grueling College Majors

I'm considering a lot of factors for my potential major and I want to know what I'm getting into. Could anyone share a list or their own experiences about the 8 hardest majors in college?

The perceived difficulty of any major can vary greatly according to personal strengths, interests, and the level of commitment one is willing to invest. That said, there are several fields which are often considered challenging due to the workload, depth of content, or rigorous coursework. Here's a general list not ranked in any particular order:

1. Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, etc): Engineering courses often require a strong foundation in physics, math, and critical thinking to solve complex and real-world challenges.

2. Pre-Medicine or Biology: These majors often require heavy coursework in the sciences, such as chemistry, physics, and biology, along with very specific coursework in human anatomy and physiology. On top of that, students also prepare for the MCAT, a demanding standardized test required for medical school admission.

3. Physics: Notoriously rigorous, physics students tackle complex topics like quantum mechanics and thermodynamics, all while figuring out abstract concepts and mathematical equations.

4. Mathematics: Advanced calculus, differential equations, abstract algebra, and mathematical proof-writing often form part of the curriculum in this major.
