Boston College Campus Life

Hey all, I'm a junior looking at options for colleges and Boston College is one of them. Can anyone fill me in on what campus life is like at Boston College? How is the social scene, extracurricular activities, and overall student life?

The social scene in Boston College is active and there's something for everyone. BC, like most colleges, has a good mix of social events and activities which are hosted by the various student groups and the administration. Parties are common, especially during the weekends, with some being dorm- or Greek life-led and others organized by cultural or affinity groups. There are also a variety of non-alcoholic events like movie nights, game nights, and speaker events for those who prefer a quieter social experience.

Extracurricular involvement is huge on-campus, with over 300 student-led clubs and organizations. Options range from cultural and religious organizations to media groups, activism clubs, and more. Clubs also provide an avenue for leadership and personal development. Also, intramural sports are wildly popular, and many events such as football games—in which the Eagles are usually competitive—are a major draw, uniting the student body and bringing everyone together.
