The Liberty Scholars Program at Drexel University is a prestigious scholarship program aimed at providing financial and programmatic support to promising students from across the United States and its territories.

1. Benefits: The Liberty Scholars Program goes beyond just a scholarship, offering a comprehensive package of benefits. The program provides recipients with full-tuition scholarships for four years. If needed, room and board are also covered, eliminating a considerable portion of your college costs. Moreover, the program includes a living-learning community during your first year, academic advising, and access to various workshops, programming, and resources focusing on academics and leadership development. Liberty Scholars are also offered a $1,000 stipend for community service placement during summers after freshman, sophomore, and junior years, promoting further personal and career development outside the classroom.

2. Eligibility: The scholarship program targets high school seniors who are US citizens or permanent residents. Eligible candidates are those with strong academic records, involvement in their school or community, select Drexel as their first choice, and have demonstrated financial need. Demonstrating financial need is a significant requirement. Also, this scholarship is aimed at first-time freshman applicants who enroll full-time at Drexel.

3. Application process: Applicants must submit a complete admission application to Drexel University, including all required documents. If Drexel is your first-choice college, it is crucial to reflect this on your application. The Liberty Scholars Application consisting of three short-answer questions will be available in Discover Drexel for those who are eligible. The application should be submitted by February 1st as per the latest guidance. A committee will review and shortlist candidates based on their applications and the holistic review. If selected, finalists will be invited for an interview, after which final recipients will be selected for the scholarship.

To remain in the program and keep receiving the benefits, recipients must continue meeting certain standards such as maintaining a minimum GPA, living on campus for the first two years, and engaging in community service.

Drexel's Liberty Scholars Program is a fantastic opportunity for eligible students, given the myriad benefits ranging from financial to experiential learning opportunities it provides.
