Military Branch with Special Forces?

Hey everyone! As of late, I've been increasingly interested in the Special Forces. I know it's a big deal and not all military branches have them, so could you fill me in on which one(s) do?

Absolutely, happy to provide some clarification. In the United States military, each branch has its own Special Forces unit.

For the Army, it's the Green Berets or Army Special Forces. They're highly trained in unconventional warfare and their mission often involves working with local forces in foreign countries.

The Navy has the SEALs, which stands for Sea, Air, and Land Teams. They are famous for their high-intensity training program and their missions typically involve highly challenging marine environments.

The Marine Corps have their Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command (MARSOC), also known as Marine Raiders. Their work often includes direct action, special reconnaissance, and foreign internal defense.

The Air Force has the Pararescuemen, also known as "PJs", and Combat Controllers, responsible for rescuing downed aircrews as well as coordinating air strikes and establishing air control.

The Coast Guard has the Deployable Specialized Forces (DSF), often called the Coast Guard's own "special forces". They're trained to handle maritime law enforcement, anti-terrorism, and force protection.

Lastly, though the newest branch, the Space Force, is still growing, at this time they do not have their own unique Special Forces unit.

Remember, while it's great that you're interested in Special Forces, do note that these units require an extremely high level of physical fitness, mental toughness, and specialized training. Additionally, the missions they undertake often come with high levels of risk. It's a significant commitment, and you should make sure to conduct additional in-depth research and communicate with military personnel to fully understand what's involved.
