Looking for a Comprehensive List of UT Majors

Hello! I am interested in possibly attending the University of Texas and am unsure of the different majors that they offer. Does anybody have a comprehensive list of UT majors or resources I could visit to find more information? Any advice on how to decide between them?

The University of Texas at Austin offers a broad range of undergraduate majors spread across various colleges and schools. While I can't list every single major here, I can point you to a method of finding them all.

You can visit the direct academic catalog of UT where they list all majors and programs. Navigate to the UT Austin website, then go to "Academics," and finally to "Undergraduate Degrees and Programs." This will lead you to a comprehensive list of all the majors offered at UT, divided by discipline.

Now, looking at all of these options can indeed be a bit overwhelming, which brings us to your second question. When trying to decide between majors, consider what subjects you're genuinely passionate about and how they align with your career goals. You're more likely to excel in a major that you're deeply interested in, and it will also make studying and persisting through difficulties more enjoyable.

Do note that some programs are highly competitive, like business and engineering, and require a higher GPA for admission. You might want to consider these aspects when making a choice.

Talking to current students or alumni in prospective majors could be insightful. They can give you an intimate view of what it's like to be in the program, which can offer valuable information for your decision.

Lastly, remember that it's okay to change your mind. Many students change their majors within their first or even second year as they discover new interests or find that their initial choice wasn't the correct fit. It is part of the college journey. I hope this helps!
