Looking at St. Bonaventure, NY - any advice?

I'm planning on applying to St. Bonaventure in New York. Can anybody share some genuine student experiences there? An idea about their academics, housing situation, student support etc. would be really helpful!

St. Bonaventure is a lovely small school with a tight-knit community feel. The classes tend to be smaller, which allows for greater interaction and engagement between professors and students. This more intimate setting often facilitates better learning conditions, especially for discussions and group projects. The university is known for its programs in Journalism, Business, and Education, among others. If you're particularly interested in any of those fields, St. Bonaventure is a great choice.

As for housing, most students live on campus for at least their first two years. The dorms are not luxurious, but they are comfortable and foster a strong sense of community. Some students choose to move off-campus in their later years to apartments or houses nearby, but it's not a requirement.

The campus life at St. Bonaventure is quite vibrant. There are many clubs and organizations you can join, depending on your interests. Sporting events, especially basketball games, draw a crowd and provide an opportunity to show school spirit.

Student support is also a key aspect of the St. Bonaventure experience. The university provides a range of services including academic support, counseling, career services, and more. As it is a relatively small school, it is easier to access these services and feel supported during your time there.

One more piece of advice: try your best to visit the campus in-person if you can, before you apply. Seeing the campus first-hand and talking to current students or faculty will help you get a real feel for the community and culture there. Many students say they chose St. Bonaventure because of the friendly and welcoming atmosphere they experienced during a campus visit.

Please bear in mind these are general remarks based on a combination of student experiences and available resources. Your experience may differ based on your unique circumstances, interests, and program of study. Good luck with your application!
