How's BCC NJ?

I'm a junior right now and I'm considering attending Burlington County College in New Jersey after I graduate. I've read some okay reviews online but I'm still a little unsure. Can any current or past students give me some insight into what it's like there? Is the quality of education good? How about the campus culture?

Sure, I can provide some information about Burlington County College. Also known as Rowan College at Burlington County (RCBC), it often receives positive feedback for its quality of education, particularly for a community college. Many students speak highly of the faculty there, emphasizing their dedication and willingness to help students succeed. Since it's affiliated with Rowan University, you also have excellent opportunities to transition into a four-year bachelor’s program after completing your associate's degree, if that's something you're interested in.

As for campus culture, it's somewhat different from a traditional four-year university given that it's a commuter college. This means that many students come to campus for their classes and then leave for work, other commitments, or home. As such, it may not have the same vibrancy you would find on a residential campus because fewer students live on or near campus. However, this doesn't mean there isn't a sense of community. There are numerous student clubs and activities you can get involved in, and students often describe the atmosphere as friendly and inclusive.

Remember, what's most important is if the college fits your specific needs and goals. If you're looking for a dynamic, residential campus life, you may not find that here. But if you're aiming for a quality education with smaller classes, flexible schedules, and the potential for seamless transition into a four-year program, Rowan College at Burlington County could be a great option.
