Minnesota's Most Difficult to Enter College

Hey everybody! I'm a rising junior from Minnesota. This might be a tough question but I was wondering if anyone knows what the hardest college to get into in MN is? I'm trying to map out my potential college choices. Thanks for any help!

Based on acceptance rates and the competitiveness of the student profiles, the most difficult college to get into in Minnesota is typically considered to be Carleton College. This private liberal arts college has an acceptance rate that often hovers under 20%. Applicants generally have strong academic profiles, with a high percentage of students at the top of their high school class. Another school that can be quite competitive is Macalester College at around 28%.

Remember, just because a school is difficult to get into doesn't necessarily mean it's the best fit for you. Consider factors like your intended major, campus culture, and the opportunities available to you at different institutions as you're making your decisions. And remember, a rejection doesn't mean you're not capable or successful. It just means that school wasn't the right fit for you.

While it's great to strive for top schools, make sure you apply to a balanced list of reach, match, and safety schools to maximize your chances of getting into a school that you like and that fits your needs.
