Best Performing Arts College Programs

Hey guys, I'm super passionate about theater and I've been involved with it all throughout high school. I'm planning on pursuing it even further in college. Any recommendations on the best theater programs out there that I should consider?

Sure, I'd be happy to suggest some renowned programs.

For starters, Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh is known as an excellent school for theater and performing arts. It's considered one of the top schools for drama in the entire country and offers a BFA program in Drama.

Juilliard School in New York City is well-known across the globe for its performing arts programs. The school is highly selective but unquestionably one of the top schools for theater arts.

University of North Carolina School of the Arts offers a great program for Theater, with different concentrations such as Design and Production, Drama, Filmmaking, etc.

The Tisch School of the Arts at New York University (NYU) is an excellent choice as well. They offer both BFA and MFA programs in drama and have a fantastic reputation.

Finally, Northwestern University's School of Communication is well-regarded for its Theater program and is worth considering too.

Note that these are just a few suggestions. There are many other great theater programs out there, depending on your specific interests and career goals. The right school for you will depend on factors like the specific disciplines you're interested in, the kind of learning environment that suits you best, and your post-graduation aspirations. To make the best choice, you should consider visiting campuses, attending performances of the schools' theater departments, and speaking to current students in their programs.
