How to visit Concordia University Chicago?

I'm planning a visit to Concordia University's Chicago campus. I'm a bit lost though - could anyone advise on the best way to get there, places on campus I should see, and if there are any campus tour options available?

Visiting a college campus is a great way to get a feeling for the environment and the community, so good on you for planning a visit to Concordia University Chicago!

First off, if traveling by car, Concordia University Chicago is located at 7400 Augusta St., River Forest, Illinois. If you're using a GPS, that should get you to the campus. Parking is available on campus, check Concordia's website for specific parking locations and guidelines.

If you're traveling by public transportation, the CTA Green Line and Metra Union Pacific / West Line trains service the River Forest area, with the campus being a short walk from each stop.

In terms of campus tour options, the university’s website is a great starting point. From the 'Visit' section, you can find a schedule of the university's available event dates for individual campus visits, group visits, transfer events, and more. These visits typically include a campus tour, so you're able to see most of the university, including academic buildings, libraries, residence halls, etc.

When it comes to locations to make sure to visit, the Klinck Memorial Library is the academic and intellectual heart of the campus and the Christopher Center is an important hub for student life activities. It's also worth spending some time to walk around the campus's outdoor spaces to get a feel for the environment.

It could also be beneficial to try to schedule meetings with some faculty or administrators related to your major of interest, or even current students, to get a more in-depth understanding of the university.

Remember to check the university’s COVID-19 policies. Some colleges have modified their campus visit procedures due to public health concerns, and therefore, it might be required to make a reservation in advance.

Have a great visit! Let us know if you have any other questions.
