Airborne Units: Which Branch of the Military are they in?

As I continue thinking about life post-high school, I'm particularly intrigued by airborne divisions in the military. Does anyone know which U.S. military branch they fall under? Thanks for your insights!

Airborne units can be found in various branches of the U.S. military, but they are most prominently associated with the U.S. Army, which has the highest number of airborne units and conducts the majority of airborne operations.

Among the most well-known is the 82nd Airborne Division, which is an elite division specializing in air assault operations. Members of this division are trained to be rapidly deployed anywhere in the world within 18 hours of notification, making them a critical component of the nation's strategic defense.

In the U.S. Air Force, there are also special operations groups like the 24th Special Tactics Squadron, which includes Pararescuemen (PJs) who are trained to conduct high-risk rescue missions, including airborne operations.

And, although they may not be traditionally thought of as "airborne," Navy SEALs and Marine Force Reconnaissance units receive airborne training as part of their Special Operations training. These units conduct parachute insertions from aircraft as part of their operations when necessary.
