How to get into vet schools in Washington?

Hey everyone, I'm thinking about becoming a vet and I've heard Washington has some great vet programs. Anyone here go to Washington for their pre-vet/vet studies? How competitive is it and what should I be doing now to increase my chances of acceptance?
