Studying at Waltham Bentley University

Hi guys. I'm considering Waltham Bentley University for my undergrad studies. Does anyone here have any experience regarding its academics, social scene, and overall college experience?

Bentley University, based in Waltham, Massachusetts, is widely recognized for its impressive business programs. The university integrates technology and business programming extensively, which equips its graduates with a unique, cutting-edge skill set highly sought after in today's digital world. This gives Bentley students a competitive edge in the job market, as does their well-regarded career services office.

Academically, the coursework is very rigorous but it prepares you well for the business world. There are also a plethora of resources including professors, tutoring centers, and workshops you can take advantage of if you are feeling overwhelmed. Live case studies and project-based courses are not uncommon, giving you real-world problems to solve, thereby making the learning experience practical and engaging.

In terms of the social scene, the size of the university creates a close-knit community experience. There are over 100 clubs ranging from professional organizations to special interest clubs, so you'll have a lot of opportunities to engage and make friends. Greek life doesn't dominate the social scene, but it's there if you're interested.

There is a fair amount of socializing on campus, but because it is located in a suburban area, students often also venture into Boston, which is only 25 minutes away. Bentley provides shuttles to the Harvard Square subway station, so it's easy to go out and explore the city.

The facilities at Bentley are top-notch, with the Trading Room and the User Experience (UX) Lab as fan favorites. The residential halls are also quite comfortable, and a majority of students live on campus for all 4 years.

Keep in mind that even though the university has a strong focus on Business, it still emphasizes the importance of a well-rounded education, meaning you'll take classes outside of your major as well.

All in all, if you're truly interested in business and want a close-knit school that offers a solid academic foundation for a career in this field, Bentley could be an excellent choice for you.
