Cal Baptist University Reviews?

Hello everyone, I'm strongly considering applying to Cal Baptist University and I wanted to get some first-hand reviews. Can any current or former students share their experiences, especially relating to academics and campus culture?

Academically, Cal Baptist University (CBU) has Pre-Nursing, Nursing, Business, and Psychology as its most popular majors. It offers over 74 majors, and its class sizes are relatively small with a student-faculty ratio of 18 to 1. This allows for a more personalized attention from professors. The school is known for its robust Nursing program which carries a high NCLEX pass rate. For other majors, the overall opinion seems to be that the curriculum is rigorous and professors are supportive and accessible.

As for the campus culture, students often praise the sense of community at CBU. It's a private, Christian university, so faith plays a big role in campus life. The school offers plenty of opportunities for spiritual growth, including weekly chapel services and mission trips. The university encourages students to live on-campus for the first two years, which helps to foster a sense of community.

However, as with any college, fit can vary. If you're someone who deeply values their faith and wants it integrated into your education, CBU could be a great place. Similarly, if you thrive in smaller, more intimate academic settings, it could be a fit for you. On the flip side, if you're looking for a large, secular, or highly urban setting, it might not align as well with your preferences.

You might also want to consider reaching out to CBU's admissions office. Often, they can put you in touch with current students or alumni who can share their personal experiences and give you an authentic feel for the school. That’s one way you can get more personalized information beyond the official campus tours or info sessions.

Don't forget to apply to multiple colleges so you have options to compare at the end of the admissions process! Best of luck with your college search.
