Digging into Defense Tech - which military branch?

Hi folks, I'm currently exploring potential routes for a career in defense technology. I'm curious, though, which branch of the US military primarily deals with defense tech?

The U.S. military's defense technology is implemented and researched across all six branches, but few branches stand out when it comes to that specialization. One of the primary branches which heavily deals with defense tech is the U.S. Air Force. The Air Force Research Laboratory is known for developing and integrating warfare technologies across air, space, and cyberspace domains.

That being said, since late 2019, the U.S. Space Force, the latest branch of the armed forces, focuses on technology related to space and satellite systems. Moreover, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), an agency of the Department of Defense, is well-known for its significant contributions to technology development as well.

In conclusion, if you are leaning towards a career in defense technology, you might want to consider roles within the Air Force or Space Force, both of which manage substantial segments of the U.S. military's technological tools and research. However, opportunities for roles involving defense tech exist in all branches, so it's essential to research each one to see what might align best with your goals.
