Joint Base Andrews Military Branches

Hey y'all! I'm seriously considering a military career after high school and I've been doing some research. I found out about Joint Base Andrews but I'm a bit confused. Could anyone clarify which military branches are actually stationed there?

Joint Base Andrews, located in Maryland, houses units from multiple branches of the U.S. military, including the Air Force, Navy, and Army.

Primarily, it's known as the home base of the 316th Wing and 89th Airlift Wing of the U.S. Air Force, and is famously associated with housing 'Air Force One', the aircraft used by the U.S. President for travel.

As well as the Air Force personnel, Joint Base Andrews is also home to a significant Navy presence, including Navy Operational Support Center (NOSC) Anacostia and Navy Air Facility Washington.

In addition, the Army maintains a presence at Andrews, including the 1st Helicopter Squadron, which provides rotary-wing aircraft for U.S. leaders, and the 746th Test Squadron, which tests navigation and timing devices.

It's a unique location that provides opportunities across different branches, so potential recruits have the opportunity to engage with a variety of roles and responsibilities. It's great that you're considering a military career, and researching about bases is definitely a smart move in understanding more about life in the military.
