On the Hunt for Pre-med Schools in Florida

I've been really focussing on staying in my home state of Florida for my pre-med studies. Are there any top-ranked pre-med schools here that you guys would recommend?

Florida boasts several well-regarded universities with strong pre-med tracks. At the top of the list is often the University of Florida (UF). UF is known for its rigorous science curriculum and ample opportunities for involvement in medical research, both of which are great for preparation for medical school. They have hospitals on campus – Shands Hospital and the UF Health Cancer Center - which are excellent for shadowing, volunteering, and research opportunities.

University of Miami has the Miller School of Medicine, which hosts numerous opportunities for pre-med students to get involved in research and community service activities. Another bonus is access to peers and mentors who are on the same career path.

Florida State University also shines in pre-med preparation. FSU has a dedicated pre-health advising team that assists students with course selection, securing clinical experiences, and applying to medical school.

Lastly, consider University of South Florida (USF). This Tampa-based university prides itself on molding future healthcare leaders and its partnership with Tampa General Hospital offers students invaluable hands-on experience.

Each of these schools offer their own benefits, so I recommend researching them each further based on what you're looking for in your college experience.
