What options do I have for NH State Colleges?

I live in New Hampshire, and I'm considering staying in-state for college. I'm having trouble figuring out which NH state colleges fit me best or which programs they're most known for. Any suggestions?

Certainly! In New Hampshire, there are several public universities for your consideration, each with its unique areas of specialty.

Let's start with the University of New Hampshire (UNH). Located in Durham, UNH is the largest public institution in the state and offers a strong range of programs. It's particularly renowned for its programs in Business, Engineering, Social Work and Environmental Science. UNH also has a law school and a strong research focus, especially in areas related to environmental conservation and sustainability.

Next, you have Plymouth State University in Plymouth. Plymouth State is particularly known for its programs in Education and Business. It also has a comprehensive arts program, offering degrees in a variety of fields like Music, Theatre, and Art. Plymouth State can also be a good option if you're looking to pursue a program in Health and Physical Education.

Keene State College, located in Keene, is known for a strong program in Safety and Occupational Health applied sciences, as well as programs in Education, Journalism, and Film Production. The college also offers strong Business and Management programs.

Granite State College in Concord focuses largely on adult learners, particularly those who are working or have families. If you're looking for an institution that offers flexible online and evening classes, Granite State College might be worth considering. The college offers programs in Business, Healthcare, and Criminal Justice.

Last but not least, there is also the New Hampshire Technical Institute (NHTI) in Concord, which offers associate degrees and professional certificates in a variety of technical and career-oriented fields. If you're interested in Dental Hygiene, Nursing, Engineering Technology, or Business Administration, NHTI could be a great fit for you.

Remember to consider factors such as location, student life, available resources, and financial aid along with your academic fit when making a decision. Visiting these campuses, if possible, would provide a better understanding of what each institution can offer. Best of luck in your decision-making process!
