Best approach for superscoring SAT on the Common App?

Hello everyone! As a junior prepping for college apps, I'm kinda puzzled about how to report my SAT scores through the Common App. I've taken the SAT multiple times and want to superscore them to maximize my chances. Does the Common App automatically calculate the superscore, or do I need to manually select my best section scores? Any tips from someone who's been through this would be super appreciated!

Hello there! Great question about superscoring on the Common App. The Common App doesn't automatically calculate your superscore for you. Instead, you'll need to enter each test date and the scores you received manually. Then, you have the option to mention your highest scores in each section across all your test dates to colleges that accept a superscore.

For example, if you scored a 700 on Math in March and then a 750 on EBRW in May, you’d list both test dates but highlight the 700 Math and 750 EBRW for schools that superscore. To clarify this further, you can also address this in the 'Additional Information' section of your application if you feel it's necessary. Do remember to check the policies of each college you're applying to, as some might require all scores or they might superscore the results themselves upon receiving your scores. Best of luck with your college applications!
