Hey guys! I'm a current junior and Washington State has been on my radar for college. Could anyone fill me in on what some of the top universities are in Washington State?
Washington State is home to several top-ranked universities:
1. University of Washington (UW): Located in Seattle, UW is known for its strong programs in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Medicine, and Social Sciences. It is the state's flagship research university and boasts impressive global rankings.
2. Washington State University (WSU): WSU is a public research university based in Pullman. Renowned for its programs in Communication and Journalism, Business, Engineering and Agricultural Sciences, it has multiple campuses across the state.
3. Gonzaga University: This private institution in Spokane is best recognized for its programs in Business, Engineering, and Nursing. It also tends to have a competitive basketball team if you are a sports enthusiast!
4. Whitman College: It's a top-ranked liberal arts college located in Walla Walla. Known for its strong emphasis on undergraduate education, the college has excellent programs in the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences.
5. Pacific Lutheran University: PLU is a private university situated in Tacoma. It provides strong programs in the Nursing, Business, and Music fields.
6. Seattle University: This institution offers a solid liberal arts education and it's known for its programs in Business, Nursing, and Criminal Justice.
Always make sure to consider what each university's strengths are in relation to your intended major or areas of interest. I would suggest researching the curriculum, faculty, campus life, and opportunities for extracurriculars/internships at each of these schools to find the one that fits you best!
