When do UC decisions typically come out?

Hey! I'm getting anxious about my applications to UC schools. Does anyone know their usual decision release dates? Is it staggered or do all decisions tend to drop at the same time?

UC decisions typically begin to rollout in mid-March, although the exact dates can vary each year and by campus. In general, UC Davis begins releasing decisions in mid-March, followed by UC Santa Cruz, UC Riverside, UC Merced, UC Santa Barbara, and UC Irvine.

The three selective UCs – UC San Diego, UCLA, and UC Berkeley – usually release decisions in late March. UCLA is typically the last campus to release its decisions, often on the last Friday of March.

Keep in mind that these are just averages and might vary slightly each year. Note that decisions are imparted on a rolling basis over the course of a few weeks, so not all applicants will receive their decisions at the same time. The campus will inform you about the decision via email, or you could also check your online portal periodically for any updates. Don't fret if you don't hear back immediately—the wait can indeed be nerve-racking but the institutions do their best to notify applicants as soon as possible. Good luck with your applications!
