Question about basic training in the military

Hi everyone. I was wondering if there's any branch of the US military that doesn't require basic training? Or does every branch have its own form of basic training?

Each branch of the United States military does indeed require basic training. Although details like the length or the location of the training can vary by branch, basic training (sometimes referred to as "boot camp") is a necessary component of military service across the board. The purpose is to provide recruits with fundamental military skills, strategies, discipline and physical conditioning.

To give some examples, the U.S. Army has a 10-week Basic Combat Training (BCT), while the U.S. Navy's Recruit Training Command is 8 weeks. The Marine Corps Basic Training is13 weeks long, the Air Force's Basic Military Training is 8.5 weeks, and the newest branch, the Space Force, currently utilizes the Air Force's basic training program. This basic training experience serves to transition civilian recruits not only physically but also mentally into life as a soldier, preparing them for future duties and responsibilities. So no, there isn't a branch that doesn't require it — it's a crucial part of becoming a service member.
