Are finance classes in high school useful for a business major in college?

So I was looking through my course options for next year and saw that my school offers a finance class. Would taking a class like this be helpful if I'm thinking of majoring in business in college, or should I focus on other areas? Also, do colleges look positively at students who take finance classes in high school?

Taking a finance class in high school can certainly be beneficial if you're considering a business major in college. It will give you foundational knowledge that could be advantageous in your college coursework, and it highlights your early interest in the field. Colleges tend to appreciate when students take initiative to explore their intended major through their high school curriculum. Moreover, it demonstrates that you are taking your academic interests seriously, which is always a positive in the eyes of admissions officers. In addition to finance, consider classes that develop your analytical and leadership skills, as these are highly relevant to business studies. However, remember to maintain a balanced schedule that also includes the core academic subjects. Good luck with your course selection for next year!
