Meet the panelists: Suraya, Mahogany, Laurel, Jennifer, Sophia

Suraya is a junior from London, England in the School of Arts and Sciences. She is pursuing two Bachelor degrees in Psychology and Criminology and two minors in Human and Social Development and Social sciences in Medicine. She works in the Career Center as a peer advisor to be a resource for students with their careers and professional documents. Outside of school, she enjoys dancing, spending time with family and friends and traveling to different states and countries!

Mahogany is a junior from Boston, Massachusetts in the Nursing and Health Studies College majoring in Public Health at the University of Miami. While she is a full time student, Mahogany has participated as a member of the Cheerleading team, she is a Resident Assistant, and volunteers at the University of Miami medical school. She enjoys dancing where she is able to participate through a student organization on campus.

Laurel is a Junior from the University of Miami in the College of Engineering. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Science is Environmental Engineering with a second major in Classical Civilizations. Laurel is an active member in the Chi Omega Sorority serving as the Director of Social Events and the Director of Career and Personal Development, the UMiami TEDx Production Committee, President of the UMiami Sugarcanes Bat & Ball Girls, Peer Advisor at the on campus Toppel Career Center. Outside of school she enjoys spending time going to the beach with friends, road trips & lake days.

Jenny is a Junior from Massachusetts, currently studying at the University of Miami. She is a pre-med student working towards a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience, with minors in chemistry, art, and public health. She is a wellness chair for Phi Delta Epsilon medical fraternity, a counselor with Camp Kesem, and a member of UM's homecoming executive committee. Outside of school, she enjoys traveling, music, and exploring new places and activities.

Sophia is a senior from Honolulu, Hawaii in the School of Communication. She is pursuing a Bachelor’s in public relations with a minor in marketing. Sophia is an active member of the START program, a nonprofit that serves the West Coconut Grove youth community. Outside of school, she enjoys serving at VOUS Church, going to the beach, and spending time outdoors with her friends.
