Meet the panelists: Jane, Alice, Alastair

Jane is a senior from Schaumburg, Illinois in the School of Art + Design and School of Information Sciences. She is pursuing a Bachelor's in Graphic Design and a Bachelor's in Information Science. Jane is the VP of Marketing for a student-run nonprofit called Design for America at UIUC. But outside of school, she likes to bake new desserts and breads.

Alice is a senior from Hawthorn Woods, IL in the Grainger College of Engineering. She is pursuing a Bachelor's in Computer Science. Alice is an active member of Hack4Impact, an organization that develops software for nonprofits. This semester, she is an Academy lead, teaching less experienced members the basics of web development as well as helping them build their own project from scratch. Outside of school, she enjoys dancing, playing games with friends, and picnicing on the quad.

Ally is a senior from Macomb, IL, double majoring in Urban Planning & Sustainable Design, triple minoring in Sociology, Art & Design, and Informatics, and pursuing a certificate in Technology Entrepreneurship. He is on the executive board of a social impact club called Design for America, an active brother of the Zeta Psi fraternity, and a bass in the Men's Glee Club. He works both as a desk manager at the Molecular & Cellular Biology Office and as a Design Researcher at the Siebel Center for Design. Outside of school, he enjoys reading, exercising, and playing video games. He is also a member of the indie rock band, the façades.
