Meet the panelists: Lauren, Daelyn, Connor, Sarah, Hannah

Lauren is a junior from Long Island, New York in the College of Family and Consumer Sciences. She is pursuing a Bachelor's in Human Development and Family Science with the hopes of completing her Masters in a combined 5th year. Lauren is active on campus as she is involved in organizations like Shop With A Bulldawg, Hillel, and Thomas Lay's Afterschool program. Outside of school, she enjoying traveling, trying new restaurants and hanging out with her friends.

Daelyn is a junior from Stone Mountain, GA in the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences. She is pursuing her Bachelors of Science in English Education. Daelyn serves as the VP for Georgia Daze, committee member for Shop with a Bulldawg, and a College of Education Ambassador. Outside of school, she enjoys traveling with her friends and hiking.

Connor is a sophomore from Acworth, Georgia in the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication & the School of Public and International Affairs at the University of Georgia. He is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising and Public Relations. He is also pursuing a minor in Human Development and Family Sciences as well as a Certificate in Personal and Organizational Leadership and New Media Studies. Connor is the Director of Campus Outreach for a nonprofit titled Shop with a Bulldawg, Ambassador and Treasurer for the LGBT Resource Center, member of the Student Partner Program with the University of Georgia's Auxiliary Services, and he is a student staff member in the Engagement, Leadership, and Service Center. During his time at UGA, he has traveled to Israel and Australia. In his free time, Connor enjoys hiking, and spending time with close friends, and going to concerts.

Sarah is a junior from Marietta, Georgia in the Terry College of Business. She is pursuing a Finance and Marketing double major with a Digital Marketing emphasis. Sarah serves as the Director of Member Finances at Pi Beta Phi, as an Involvement ambassador at the Engagement, Leadership and Service Office, and is an active member of the Women in Finance club at UGA. Outside of school she enjoys going on runs, traveling, and spending time with her friends.

Hannah is a junior from Milton, Georgia. She is double majoring in biology and psychology with the hopes of attending medical school. She is an active member of UGA miracle, Whatever it Takes, and Challah for Hunger. Outside of school she enjoys working with kids and being outdoors.

Work Experience: I got my PhD in history from Boston University in 2020. I have worked as a researcher and writer for a Boston-based policy center and am a freelance editor.

My Admissions Story: I remember the admissions process as a time to imagine possible futures (where to live? what to study? who to meet?), though am happy to report (as you can see from my bio) that few of those decisions were set in stone. So have fun and enjoy the ride!
