Description

Ask current University of Chicago students questions about academics, campus life, dorm living, and more.

The University of Chicago has shut down campus visits and tours due to the coronavirus outbreak, and many families are worried about choosing a college without being able to visit in person and get a feel for campus life. In this Q&A session, we'll ask our panel of current University of Chicago students a series of questions about everything ranging from campus life to safety to the classroom experience. Webinar attendees will also get to participate in the second half of the Q&A.

Q&A Participants:

André Hall is a current second-year student at the University of Chicago who is studying Romance Languages and Literature while on a pre-medical track. He is involved in research on campus at UChicago Medicine, volunteers in the emergency room, is a responder with the University’s Emergency Medical Service, and writes for the campus’s fashion blog. When not on campus, André loves exploring Chicago and finding the best coffee shops for studying in Chicago.

Avi Waldman is a second-year English major from San Diego, California. She spends her free time working on the student newspaper, attending events with her House, or sitting in the best coffee shop on campus for hours on end. Last year she attended the Scav launch party before realizing she was wildly out of her depth.

Ethan Turok is a first-year pursuing a physics degree at the University of Chicago. He has published in UChicago's literary magazine, developed a Bluetooth glasses tracker in the Engineering Society, and competes for UChicago's climbing team. He is a member of the Society for Physics Students, serves as a MASA Campus Ambassador, and loves learning enough that it hurts his social life. When he is not jamming out on guitar, you can catch him befriending strangers, devilishly scribbling in his journal, or eating unholy amounts of pasta. He can also do the splits.

Jordan Klevens is a first-year student at the University of Chicago who is intent on pursuing Chemistry and the pre-medicine track. She is involved in quantum chemical research and other various club organizations on campus. Outside of academics, Jordan loves to indulge in her passion for music by creating songs on technological software.
