Meet the panelists: Nolan and Chloe
Nolan is a senior from Orinda, California studying Industrial Engineering. He's planning on staying another year at Cal Poly to get a Masters in Engineering Management as Cal Poly has a great program and he doesn't want to leave. Nolan's an active member and holds positions in his fraternity, Delta Chi, and the Cal Poly Consulting Club. Outside of school, he enjoys surfing, skiing, traveling, and just being outside in general. He's working full-time at Deloitte Consulting upon graduation.
Chloe is a senior from San Diego, California. She is pursuing a bachelor of science in Graphic Communication with a concentration in User Interface/ User Experience as well as a minor in Entrepreneurship. During her time at Cal Poly, Chloe has been a member of the Honors College, served as a WOW leader, worked as a student assistant for a leadership course, and most recently has joined a venture capitalist club as the graphic designer. She also is a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. In her free time, Chloe loves to surf, play spikeball and cornhole, and get breakfast with her friends.

Major: Political Science and Philosophy
Graduate College: Boston University, PhD
Work Experience: I got my PhD in history from Boston University in 2020. I have worked as a researcher and writer for a Boston-based policy center and am a freelance editor.
My Admissions Story: I remember the admissions process as a time to imagine possible futures (where to live? what to study? who to meet?), though am happy to report (as you can see from my bio) that few of those decisions were set in stone. So have fun and enjoy the ride!
