Presenters:

Noble Jones, Ph.D. (he/him/his), Associate Dean of Admission. Noble earned his Ph.D. from the Institute of Higher Education at the University of Georgia in 2018. His dissertation, Inside the Black Box: The Garbage Can Model of Decision-Making in Selective College Admissions, was recognized as a Dissertation of the Year by the American Education Research Association, Postsecondary Education Division, and featured in The Chronicle of Higher Education (December 2018).

Ori Cantwell ‘22 (he/him/his), a senior interviewer in the Office of Admission. Ori is from Washington, DC, where he attended Templeton Academy. He is a Psychology major and Religion minor, as well as earning a certificate in Applied Data Science. He’s on the board of the Wesleyan Jewish Community, and has also worked in the Office of Admission since his first week at Wes!

Anna Marti ’22 (she/her/hers), a senior interviewer in the Office of Admission. Anna is majoring in American Studies and Education Studies. She’s from Sandwich, Massachusetts, where she attended Sandwich High School. At Wes, she co-directs a contemporary/jazz dance group called Precision Ensemble and is also a member of the hip hop group Precision Troupe. Anna has worked as a teaching assistant for American Sign Language for several years and presented at the Power of Language Conferences as an advocate for accessibility and Deaf culture. She’s also a Writing tutor and mentor for the Writing Workshop and has been an Orientation Leader. She’s currently a Student Fellow for the Center for the Humanities.
