About this livestream
Description
Going to college doesn't always entail applying as a freshman and then graduating from the same institution four years later. Many students opt to go to community college first to build a foundation in higher education, and then transfer to a four-year university to complete their education and receive an additional degree.
A lot of variables will influence which path is the best for you, making an already life-changing decision about higher education even more difficult. But with proper guidance, you'll be well on your way to forging your own educational path. In this stream, Leyla Barkhordar will walk you through their journey from choosing and attending a community college to graduating from the nation's top public university.
The chat will also be open to allow for an interactive session, so you'll be able to ask Leyla all of your questions and get personalized advice.
I’m a recent graduate of UCLA (‘21) and Santa Monica College (‘19). I’ve mentored students of all abilities, ages, and backgrounds for the past 5 years of my life and counting. I love helping students reach both their academic goals but also their personal goals in life.
Some of my hobbies include snorkeling, swimming, water polo, going to theme parks, cooking, reading, hiking, and traveling. If you book a session with me, we’ll have lots of fun but also we’ll get down to it in helping discover what’s your path to succeeding in your life journey!
Thanks for reading!
