Bio
Hello! My name is Alex Zotos and I've devoted my professional career to the field of college admissions counseling for nearly a decade. Since graduating from Providence College, I have worked in college admissions at three unique institutions across the New England area, including at the University of Rhode Island, Merrimack College, and Colby College. At Colby, I served as a Director of Admissions for Partnerships and Access where I helped to launch an early college readiness program with eighth grade students across the state of Maine. I've also had the opportunity to sit in on various admissions committees and have direct insight into the types of factors that selective colleges are weighing when crafting an incoming freshman class.

In 2020 I "hopped sides of the desk" and transitioned to college counseling as I sought to help students and families navigate the ever changing admissions landscape in the United States. In my current role, I serve as an Assistant Director of College Counseling and assist students with list building, mock interviews, essay support, financial aid, and strategic planning for Early Action and Early Decision deadlines. As a former admissions officer and college counselor, I've had the opportunity to visit over 40 colleges and universities across the US. I consider myself to be a lifelong learner and serve as an active member of various professional development organizations, such as the National Association for College Admissions Counseling (NACAC) and the Association of Counseling Counseling in Independent Schools (ACCIS). I am also in the process of obtaining an official certificate in College Counseling through UCLA.

If any of this resonates with you or your student, please feel free to schedule a 30 minute consultation with me to learn more about my background and the various types of advising services that I offer.

I look forward to working with you!
