About this livestream

Description

Learn best practices for pursuing a degree in the humanities, the career paths that are available to humanities graduates, and how to make a humanities degree less financially risky.

Many students and families are concerned about potentially pursuing a degree in the humanities (e.g. English, History, Languages, Cultural Studies, Philosophy, etc.) because those majors have a reputation of being less practical? CollegeVine's Chris Lombardo will walk through the misconceptions about humanities degree, discuss which types of students might want to consider a humanities degree, and walk through how to judge the strength of the humanities programs at various colleges. He'll also walk through the best practices for humanities majors who are already on campus, describe how to build practical skills alongside your humanities degree, and walk through how to minimize the financial risks of a humanities degree.

After the presentation, there will be a Q&A session where Chris will answer any and all questions about pursuing the humanities in college.
