Campus diversity is really important in my college search. How are Penn's resources like the LGBT Center and Cultural center?
There are certainly ways the acceptance of and support for underrepresented populations can be improved but Penn is a diverse school. It has spaces on campus designated to marginalized communities including the LGBT Center, Women’s Center, Casa Latina, and Makuu. Some of these spaces are located in the basements of Penn buildings, which students have been advocating to change for a long time. Nevertheless, these organizations are welcoming — some offer on-campus jobs and many host daily or weekly events.
