Admissions Advice

Will my A- in AP Chem, and a 5 on the AP exam make up for earning one B in Honors Chem? (college admissions perspective)

In Honors Chemistry, I earned one A and one B+. I AP Chemistry, I earned an A- both semesters, and a 5 on the exam.

What grade are you in? One B+ isn't going to have a huge impact on your chances really. It will have brought down your GPA a bit but schools will also see that you were able to improve that grade while taking a harder class. And a 5 on the AP exam is great but colleges are going to care more about your academics, SAT/ACT, and extracurriculars I'd imagine. Overall I wouldn't worry about this too much!

colleges dont really look at the grade in the class (yes it does play a part) but they mainly look into the grade you got on the exam
