How much does it cost to take the SAT?
Answered

I know these tests cost money and I should take it this year. I’m from a single parent home and my mom doesn’t make a lot of money. I’m concerned I won’t be able to afford it, especially if I have to take it a few times?

Here are the costs for 2020, but it sounds like you could qualify for a fee waiver, which would save you a lot of money!!

$49.50 - SAT without the optional Essay portion

$64.50 - SAT with the Essay

$30 - Late fee and change fee (so make sure you register before the deadline, which is usually 1 month before the test!)

$12 - To send your scores to a college (but the first 4 colleges are free)

Here's where I got my information:

Fee waivers - https://collegereadiness.collegeboard.org/sat/register/fees/fee-waivers

I got a fee waiver by talking to my school counselor and it really helped reduce the burden on my family when I took the SAT. Covers basically all the costs. Here’s the website: https://collegereadiness.collegeboard.org/sat/register/fees/fee-waivers

It costs an average of $70, but I can't remember exactly. You can always apply for a fee waiver if you can't afford it, just talk to your guidance counselor.

I really enjoy these subjects. These are the kinds chained echoes of themes I want to see every day, and this piece is really excellent. People in the world who express their opinions exist, just like you. It's been a pleasure working with you.
