Can I apply for more than one major for the same school?
For instance, I am applying to the University Of Virginia but not sure what major I want.
Can I apply for a Business major and a separate application for engineering?
This question depends on the majors and programs involved. You usually can't apply to two separate colleges within a given university. So if Business and Engineering are in separate colleges (as they are in most places), for example with UVA's Darden School of Business and UVA's School of Engineering and Applied Science, then no, you can't apply to both in the same application year.
However, if you're interested in multiple majors in the same college, for example English and Chemistry, both offered in UVA's College of Arts and Sciences, then you can list multiple majors you might be interested in studying on your application. You could even potentially double major in both. Importantly, you're not applying for these majors in this case—you're just applying to the College of Arts and Sciences and indicating what you may want to study. Your choice there is not binding, and you could change to anything you want within that college. But transferring to another internal college like Business or Engineering would not be as simple.
Most of the universities allowed you to take 2 or more majors. You can do it and you dont need to apply a separate application for 2 majors.
