Admissions Advice

Should I apply early action?
Answered

I am going to be a senior in the fall and am very nervous about college applications. I really want to go to James Madison University in the fall, but I am unsure as to whether or not I am competitive enough. I heard it is more difficult to get in EA. My stats are: I take mostly AP/DE courses at my school and I will graduate with my Associate's Degree when graduating high school. I believe that I have a 4.1 weighted GPA and a 3.8 unweighted. I got 1080 on my SAT and I recently retook it (I'm waiting on my score). I do a lot of extracurricular activities and I have a State Championship for theatre.

If it's your dream school I would take the plunge and apply early decision. I genuinely don't understand where people got the idea that doing so will give you less aid as colleges base your aid off what is given to them through the fafsa application. I don't know how competitive it is but you seen to be doing great so far.
