How do homeschooled students provide teacher recommendations?

I’m homeschooled but I do my classes through an online school. The classes in the online school are very independent so we don’t have a specific teacher. I spoke with them but they aren’t able to provide teacher recommendations. I have reached out to my old teachers from when I was in regular school but have had no luck. What should I do in this situation?

I have contacted several (Harvard, etc) and they all insist that I have teacher recommendations one way or another.

You can explain your situation to colleges by sending the admissions office an email or looking on their website for advice about this. They will understand! You just have to explain why you can't give recommendations and they will tell you what the next step is.

If you have a job, volunteer, or are a member of a program you could have a non family member provide a recommendation and explain their relationship to you.

Some who you work for or with would be the best
