what should i be thinking about
Answered

I am currently a sophomore in HS and I seem to always forget questions that I want to ask. What are some of the biggest things I should be doing right now and in the coming years to prepare for college??

I would first work on your course work, AP's, Honors, and start studying for the ACT or SAT. Probably the most important thing would find something you're interested in and get involved in extracurriculars soon. Also try to find out what career path you want to go down as it'll shape the courses you take.

If you haven't already participated in any clubs/extracurriculars, try to find one that you like this year! You don't have to go around and join every club in your school, but having at least one club that you attend often will look good! Since you're a sophomore you don't have to start writing your college essay yet, but try to start thinking of potential ideas and jot them down. That way when the time comes to actually start writing, you won't have to worry about coming up with a topic because you'll have your own list to choose from. You can also start thinking about which teachers you want to ask for recommendation letters. You won't have to actually ask till the end of junior year, but it will help to start thinking about it! Personally, I asked the teachers that knew me the best rather than the teachers from my more difficult classes. Good luck! (:

1st make sure to work hard to keep your grades up, always find a way to better your grade via; extra credit, extra studing, retaking tests if a teacher will let you, have a general idea of what you want to do in college, but remember, you can always switch your classes in college. Make sure to take college level classes, and AP classes, and never lose sight that, if you put your mind to it, you can do anything you set your mind to

Get good grades, look for colleges you want to go to, figure out what career you want, explore different paths, take EC's, try to be a participative student, and maybe take some AP's. Also if you keep forgetting questions that you want to ask (maybe in class) set a reminder on your phone that reminds you to ask those questions.
